Tamara Price, a Nashville native, spent countless childhood summers playing barefoot at Coleman Park, which instilled a love for this community at an early age. Today she plays barefoot in her own backyard in Woodbine, growing veggies and herbs with her husband Lex that they use to create seasonal, slow food masterpieces. As the Intake and Enrollment Coordinator for Compass Coordination, Inc., a non-profit organization serving persons with intellectual disabilities, she spends her days linking people and their families to much-needed resources in their communities. Those skills have enabled her to start a grassroots neighborhood organization, the Woodbine Neighborhood Association, which advocates for and promotes recognition of all that the Woodbine community has to offer. She’s excited to have the opportunity to work with such a great group of neighbors, and can’t wait to help bring fresh, seasonal, local food to her beloved Woodbine.
